Las Flores is bright and juicy with a complex array of sweet fruit notes. Right up front we're seeing notes of yogurt covered dried strawberries. This opens up into strong watermelon flavor that reminds us of hard candies while the cup is hot and opens up into a fresh juice popsicle as it cools. Throughout the cup their is a syrupy fruit sweetness that reminds us of fruit cocktail but with a slight herbal touch that is similar to lychee.

Roger Dominguez owns several farms, including Finca Las Flores, in La Paz. He is a young coffee producer who inherited his mid-sized farms from his mother. The family began growing coffee in the 1990s. He grows multiple varieties, but this lot is strictly Parainema, a hybrid with Sarchimore lineage that has found great success in Honduras. The La Paz region is high in elevation with cool temperatures. Coffees ripen slowly in this climate, developing deep sugars. The climate also aids in clean processing. The area is known for its deep sweetness with notes of berries and peach. This coffee showcases that sweet fruitiness in great depth.
